About

me 2025

Hi, I’m Patricia Booth Coote, a writer, homeschooling mom, and social media marketer with a passion for storytelling and connection.

Over the past twenty-six years, I’ve raised incredible kids and honed my writing skills through volunteer work and creative projects. When my husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (the most aggressive form of brain cancer), I faced a turning point. After losing my fun job during COVID, I began interviewing again and was struck by a question that stopped me in my tracks: “What have you done professionally?”

My years of volunteering and parenting didn’t fit their definition. But I knew my experience mattered. Determined to use my skills acquired through many years of grassroots marketing and community engagement, I returned to the classroom to earn my M.S. in Marketing. My husband lived to see me graduate. He passed away three months later.

Today, I manage social media content for Facebook and Instagram, write blog posts, teach Creative Writing to elementary and middle school students, and volnteer with my church’s communications. While much of my professional writing isn’t public-facing, it’s rooted in clarity and purpose.
